Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Muthanna Tribal Sheiks, Dignitaries: Urges Responsible Electoral Participation, Stresses Moderation Path
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, met on Saturday, September 27, 2025, with a gathering of sheikhs and dignitaries from Al-Muthanna Province. After listening to their remarks, His Eminence noted that the struggle between truth and falsehood often tilts materially in favor of falsehood, yet the people of truth prevail through steadfastness, sincerity, faith, and submission to Allah and His Messenger. H.E. emphasized that history is full of examples of the trials and challenges faced by the cause of truth.
H.E. observed that history tends to repeat itself, and while Iraq has endured great losses of leaders and prominent figures, those sacrifices became a driving force for renewal. H.E. affirmed that Iraq has overcome its political, social, and security challenges, broken free from regional and international isolation, and endured campaigns of distortion and defamation targeting its national experience.
H.E. underlined the importance of adhering to the path of moderation and centrism, stressing that this approach is grounded in maximizing commonalities even with those of differing views while minimizing points of contention. H.E. explained that this balanced approach has been key to safeguarding Iraq and protecting the interests of its people.
Reiterating the call for broad, effective, and informed participation in the upcoming elections, H.E. highlighted their pivotal role in moving Iraq from fragile stability to lasting stability. H.E. further noted that Iraq has engaged with regional issues politically, in the media, and through humanitarian assistance, without being drawn into direct involvement, stressing the shared responsibility of all to preserve the achievements that have been made.
