Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Russian Ambassador, Stresses Regional Stability
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of National State Powers’ Alliance, received on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, His Excellency Elbrus Kutrashev. Where they focused on ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Baghdad and Moscow in a manner that serves the interests of both nations and their friendly peoples, as well as on the latest political developments in Iraq and the region.
His Eminence reiterated the call for dialogue as the proper path to resolve regional issues, emphasizing the need to uphold international law and legitimacy. H.E. once again condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza and expressed astonishment at the silence of the international community regarding the massacres committed against the Palestinian people.
H.E. underscored that Iraq’s current political, security, and social stability represents a cornerstone for broader regional stability, which must be further consolidated and reinforced. H.E. also noted that the upcoming elections are a key entry point to sustaining this stability, making active and conscious participation in them a matter of utmost importance.
