Sayyid Al-Hakeem Discusses Bilateral Relations, Regional Developments with Kuwaiti Ambassador

Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Iraq, H.E. Mr. Hassan Mohammed Al-Zaman, to review bilateral ties and developments in the regional political landscape.
His Eminence affirmed that Iraq pursues a policy of openness in its regional and international relations, in line with its national interests and the principles of mutual respect and good neighborliness. H.E. emphasized Iraq’s commitment to building the best possible relations with its partners and friends in a manner that strengthens stability and fosters cooperation.
H.E. pointed out that, after long years of dictatorship and oppression, the Iraqi people now aspire to a dignified life and a better reality, with no intention of returning to past setbacks. This bitter experience, H.E. noted, has instilled in Iraqis a profound empathy for the suffering of others and a drive to stand in solidarity with the oppressed and to defend their rights.
H.E. further underlined the importance of the upcoming elections, describing them as pivotal in laying the foundation for lasting stability and in reinforcing Iraq’s political and democratic system. H.E. renewed the call for broad, effective, and informed participation, urging Iraqis to choose the most capable candidates from the most capable lists, in support of the path of reform and nation-building.
