    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Discusses Strengthening Ties and Resolving Water Crisis with Turkish Ambassador

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of National State Powers’ Alliance, received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq, H.E. Mr. Anıl Bora İnan, to discuss bilateral relations and ways to develop them based on shared interests and expanded cooperation. 
    His Eminence reaffirmed the importance of achieving stability in the region, holding all parties—particularly major and influential countries—responsible for contributing to its consolidation, as this serves the interests of the region’s peoples and enables them to harness their resources. 
    H.E. urged Turkey to increase water releases to Iraq amid the ongoing water crisis that has affected various aspects of life, stressing support for projects that promote optimal water management and the value of Turkish expertise in this field. 
    H.E. also underscored the need for cooperation in the energy sector and the successful implementation of the Development Road project, with adequate security guarantees to complete these initiatives. H.E. further noted that the upcoming elections represent a vital step toward strengthening stability and moving toward a phase of lasting sustainability.
