Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Yazda Delegation, Stresses Yazidis Justice, Genocide Documentation

Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received a delegation from Yazda Organization along with several survivors of the genocide committed against the Yazidi community in Iraq by extremist terrorist groups.
During the meeting, His Eminence underscored the importance of delivering justice to this deeply rooted component of Iraqi society—as well as to all other Iraqi communities—by working earnestly to compensate them for the suffering, displacement, and violations they endured. H.E. emphasized the need to pass appropriate legislation and to continue efforts aimed at rescuing those still abducted.
H.E. also highlighted the importance of Yazidi unity, stressing that the hardships faced by the community should serve as a catalyst for healing and rising above internal divisions. H.E. affirmed that the Yazidi component is a unique and valuable part of Iraq’s cultural and social diversity.
H.E. called for swift resolution of the compensation file for survivors, stressing the necessity of documenting the crimes committed against them and educating future generations about these atrocities. H.E. noted that this should be done through their inclusion in educational curricula and their representation across media and artistic platforms in all forms, to ensure such tragedies are never repeated.
