    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received this evening Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, Head of the Victory Coalition. The meeting addressed ongoing political developments in Iraq and the broader region, as well as the key challenges and obligations facing the country at this critical stage.
    His Eminence emphasized the value of the moderate and centrist discourse adopted by the National State Powers Alliance, describing it as a safeguard for Iraq that helps shield the country from the sharp downturns experienced by others in the region.
    H.E. further stressed the need to support the state and strengthen its institutions, as they are the primary guarantors of citizens’ rights and the foundation for achieving political and social stability.
    As part of the discussions around the upcoming elections, H.E. highlighted the importance of ensuring electoral security and fostering a fair, competitive environment. H.E. called for steering clear of smear campaigns and mutual accusations, urging instead the creation of a positive electoral atmosphere that encourages meaningful and responsible public participation—stating that broad engagement is a cornerstone of state-building and a key source of political legitimacy.
