Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with former President of the Republic Dr. Barham Salih to discuss recent developments in the political landscape of Iraq and the region, as well as relations between Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region and upcoming national entitlements.
His Eminence affirmed that Iraq is witnessing an unprecedented state of political, social, security, and economic stability, noting that this achievement is the result of the sacrifices of martyrs and the efforts of political and social leaders from all components. H.E. stressed that preserving and advancing this national accomplishment toward sustainability is a shared responsibility borne by all.
H.E. stated that the Iraqi experience has proven that the path of moderation and centrism is the most effective in safeguarding the country’s interests, emphasizing that Iraq has become an active player in regional affairs, engaging with balanced political, media, and humanitarian positions that reflect its advanced standing.
H.E. called for broad and informed participation in the upcoming elections, stressing that these entitlements represent an important opportunity to consolidate political stability and should be based on programs and services rather than political defamation or the use of political money.
H.E. also emphasized the need to rely on dialogue to resolve outstanding issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, urging adherence to the equation of rights and duties and the pursuit of mutual concessions in favor of the higher national interest, thereby contributing to strengthening the state and reinforcing its unity.
