Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Head of Federal Service Council, Affirms Support, Need for Legislative Empowerment
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with Mr. Mohi Murtadha Al-Qazwini, Head of the Federal Service Council, along with several council members. The delegation provided a detailed briefing on the council’s mandate and the challenges it faces in fulfilling its responsibilities.
His Eminence emphasized the central role of the Federal Service Council within the structure of the Iraqi state, describing it as a key pillar in strengthening the administrative system. H.E. stressed the importance of utilizing available job opportunities based on clear standards that ensure transparency, fair competition, and the equitable distribution of rights based on merit and competence.
H.E. also called for stronger support for holders of advanced academic degrees by employing them in positions that allow them to apply their expertise and creativity. Additionally, H.E. highlighted the importance of encouraging engagement with the private sector and taking full advantage of the labor law, which secures retirement rights for workers in that sector.
In closing, H.E. reaffirmed the need to empower the Federal Service Council through appropriate legislation and to enhance its coordination with the executive branch, thereby enabling the council to play an effective role in advancing the performance of the public administration.
