Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Iranian Parliamentary Delegation, Emphasizes Bilateral, Parliamentary Cooperation
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with a parliamentary delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran to discuss regional developments and review bilateral relations between Baghdad and Tehran.
His Eminence underscored capitalizing the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) as an opportunity to deepen official and societal cooperation between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran, noting the significant role this occasion plays in reinforcing the bonds between the two friendly peoples.
H.E. expressed high regard for the steadfastness of the Iranian people and their unity with their leadership and institutions, commending the Iranian Shura Council’s active contribution to advancing the aspirations and interests of the people.
H.E. further called for expanding parliamentary cooperation by forming joint committees dedicated to addressing shared concerns and facilitating the exchange of legislative and parliamentary expertise. H.E. added that Iraq possesses a well-rooted parliamentary experience and is working to enhance it in upcoming entitlements, thereby boosting the Parliament’s role in the national political arena.
