    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives UK Chargé d’Affaires, Discusses Bilateral Relations, Regional Developments

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received the British Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires to Iraq, Mr. Robin Milton, at his office in Baghdad. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties between Iraq and the United Kingdom and reviewing the latest political developments in Iraq and across the region.
    H.E. renewed his call for the international community to assume its responsibility in pressuring the Israeli entity to halt its aggression and to help usher in lasting regional stability. H.E. stressed that the recent attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran sparked a significant wave of solidarity from Arab and Islamic nations, supporting Iran’s right to respond to the aggression it faced.
    His Eminence also condemned in the strongest terms the ongoing atrocities against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank, urging the international community to take a firm stand in defense of what remains of human rights and moral values and to put an end to these persistent violations.
    Domestically, H.E. reiterated his rejection of violations of Iraqi sovereignty, including the breach of its airspace and attempts to drag Iraq into regional conflicts. H.E. underlined the importance of safeguarding Iraq’s sovereignty and the independence of its national decision-making.
    H.E. also highlighted the critical importance of the upcoming Iraqi elections, describing them as pivotal for reinforcing the democratic path and consolidating political and social stability. H.E. noted that this would pave the way for comprehensive development and strengthen Iraq’s regional and international standing, calling on all parties to uphold their responsibilities in preserving this stability and turning it into long-term peace.
