Sayyid Al-Hakeem from Ghazaliya: Post Crisis Iraq, Services, Economy Challenges
During a meeting with a group of tribal elders and dignitaries from the noble Bani Lam tribe and other clans in the Ghazaliya district of Baghdad, the Head of the National State Powers Alliance, His Eminence Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, condemned the unjust and treacherous attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran, despite its active and open engagement in ongoing negotiations. His Eminence affirmed Iraq’s political, media, and humanitarian support for Iran in this context.
H.E. highlighted that Iraq is currently enjoying a state of security, political, social, and economic stability—an outcome made possible by the wise guidance of the Supreme Religious Authority, the sacrifices of the Iraqi people, and the unity among political and societal leadership. H.E. noted that Iraq has now moved past its phase of crises, with regular meetings among political leaders under the umbrella of the State Administration Coalition becoming a standard practice.
Turning to the challenges ahead, H.E. emphasized that the foremost priority in the coming phase is improving public services and the economic landscape. H.E. pointed out that the country is undergoing a broad wave of reconstruction across provinces, marked by infrastructure projects, hospitals, schools, and roads.
H.E. also underscored the importance of the upcoming elections, describing them as a cornerstone for consolidating lasting stability. H.E. called for informed and widespread participation that reflects social balances and strengthens political representation, stressing that voters must focus on electing capable and upright candidates—men or women—within sound and credible electoral lists.
In conclusion, H.E. warned against the influence of political money and unrealistic campaign promises, praising candidates who are genuinely committed to serving their communities and who possess the expertise and integrity to deliver real, tangible progress.
