    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Former Parliament Speaker Dr. Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, Discusses Regional Developments, Electoral File

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received former Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, this evening. The meeting focused on the latest regional developments and their potential impact on Iraq, especially in light of escalating tensions in several regional files.
    During the discussion, H.E. reiterated his strong condemnation of the airstrikes targeting nuclear facilities in the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing the attack as a blatant violation of international law and a serious threat to the security and stability of the region.
    H.E. affirmed Iraq’s firm position in support of Iran as it faces these challenges and stressed the need for appropriate environmental precautions in anticipation of any potential radiation fallout that could affect Iraqi territory.
    On domestic affairs, both sides emphasized the importance of holding the upcoming parliamentary elections on schedule. They also highlighted the need to pass key legislation—particularly laws that directly impact citizens' daily lives and contribute to national development and long-term stability.
