Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Badr Organization Secretary-General, Discusses Political Developments
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received the Secretary-General of Badr Organization, Mr. Hadi Al-Amiri, this morning for talks on recent political developments in Iraq and the wider region, as well as upcoming national entitlements and the importance of approaching them with a sense of responsibility and patriotism.
During the meeting, His Eminence reaffirmed Iraq’s solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran in its confrontation with Israeli aggression. H.E. called on the international community, the United Nations, and Islamic nations to fulfill their obligations by taking serious action to halt this dangerous escalation and prevent the region from spiraling into a broader crisis with potentially global repercussions.
H.E. also underscored the significance of the latest statement by the Supreme Religious Authority, which explicitly condemned the aggression, rejected the targeting of religious and political leaders, and warned of the chaos such actions could unleash across the region. The statement further urged a fair and peaceful resolution to the Iranian nuclear file, grounded in international law.
On the domestic front, H.E. emphasized the critical importance of the upcoming elections, describing them as pivotal to shaping a new phase of political and social stability. H.E. reiterated the call for a program-based electoral competition focused on feasible and realistic solutions, and urged widespread and informed participation from the Iraqi people in this decisive democratic process.
