Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met several sheiks and dignitaries from Al-Mada’in District, hosted by Sheikh Shakir Al-Mansouri and Sheikh Hajim Al-Mansouri. The meeting reflected on the district’s deep-rooted history and its honorable role in defending Iraq’s unity.
His Eminence emphasized that Al-Mada’in stands as a living symbol of peaceful coexistence in Iraq, having resisted attempts by adversaries to turn it into a scene of internal conflict. H.E. praised the district’s tribes for safeguarding the nation’s social fabric and stressed the need to improve local services.
H.E. highlighted that national unity is the shared destiny of all Iraqis, particularly the people of Al-Mada’in, recalling the revered status of Salman Al-Mohammadi, the esteemed companion of Prophet Mohammed, whose shrine in the district symbolizes Iraq’s rich Islamic heritage.
H.E. called for reflecting on Iraq’s historical milestones and challenges, celebrating its experience of national cohesion, and reaffirmed that sectarianism in Iraq has been politically driven rather than societal. H.E. stressed that Iraqis remained united even in the harshest circumstances.
H.E. further underscored that Iraq’s social diversity is a source of strength and national wealth that can be leveraged to expand regional and international relations, strengthening the country’s role and influence.
H.E. noted that Iraq has overcome instability and is now entering a stage of genuine stability, urging efforts to maintain and reinforce this progress.
Concluding the meeting, H.E. affirmed that the upcoming elections represent a pivotal moment in Iraq’s political journey, calling for broad, active, and informed participation, empowering dedicated leaders, and holding negligent figures accountable, as elections remain a vital tool for restoring rights and advancing reform.
