Sayyid Al-Hakeem Met Analysts from Iraq Center for Studies: Upcoming Elections Pivotal for Stability, To Safeguard National Gains
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with a group of writers, analysts, and researchers at the Iraq Center for Studies, where H.E. emphasized that Iraq is currently witnessing a clear phase of stability—transforming Baghdad and other provinces into active hubs of development. H.E. stressed the importance of preserving these national achievements and building upon them.
The discussion covered both domestic and regional developments, with particular focus on the upcoming elections. H.E. underscored the need to encourage broad, informed, and responsible participation, noting that elections play a critical role in reinforcing long-term political and social stability.
H.E. also addressed the nature of the expected electoral competition, stressing the need to ensure electoral security and equal opportunity. H.E. called on research centers to take an active role in raising public awareness, promoting electoral culture, and highlighting the far-reaching impact of participation on the nation’s future.
On regional matters, H.E. reiterated the importance of ongoing dialogue between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, describing it as a positive step toward easing tensions and preventing further escalation—developments that directly influence Iraq’s internal stability.
In the same context, H.E. strongly condemned the continued Israeli assaults on the people of Gaza, expressing astonishment at the international community’s silence in the face of atrocities committed against civilians in the besieged territory. H.E. called for a more just and effective international stance in support of the Palestinian cause.
