Sayyid Al-Hakeem Calls to Support Young Talents, Expand Opportunities for Higher Education, Employment

In commemoration of the sorrowful anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Mohammed ibn Ali Al-Jawad (peace be upon him), a day that highlights the Imam’s enduring legacy of patience, wisdom, and knowledge, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, emphasized the importance of following the example of the Imams (peace be upon them) in nurturing and empowering young and scholarly talents.
This came during H.E.’s meeting with a delegation of students from the Department of Oil and Gas Economics at the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, Imam Al-Sadiq University (peace be upon him), where H.E. listened to their concerns and aspirations.
H.E. stressed the need for fair opportunities in higher education for these specialized fields, calling for the establishment of dedicated Master’s and PhD programs and for enabling students to continue their academic pursuits.
H.E. also urged the Iraqi government to invest in national expertise in this critical sector by activating clauses in oil company contracts related to training and employing Iraqi professionals. H.E. called for including graduates of the Department of Oil and Gas Economics in government recruitment plans, emphasizing the significance of this specialization in supporting Iraq’s national economy and advancing its oil sector.
Concluding his remarks, H.E. reaffirmed that supporting educated youth and specialized fields is essential for state-building and safeguarding the country’s future, aligning with the principles of moderation and pragmatism upheld by Al-Hikma National Movement.
