Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Russian Ambassador, Stresses Economic Reform, Upcoming Elections
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, received H.E. Mr. Elbrus Kutrashev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Baghdad, for discussions on strengthening bilateral relations between Baghdad and Moscow and exchanging views on the latest developments in Iraq and the wider region.
His Eminence reaffirmed Iraq’s current political, security, and social stability, along with its ongoing urban, service, and developmental progress across provinces. H.E. emphasized the need to preserve and build upon this stability to enhance Iraq’s regional and international standing.
H.E. highlighted the upcoming elections as a pivotal milestone for establishing lasting stability and further entrenching Iraq’s democratic system, urging broad and informed participation in this national event.
Speaking on economic reform, H.E. stressed the importance of diversifying Iraq’s sources of national revenue by prioritizing five key sectors—industry, agriculture, tourism, investment, and technology—as essential pillars for building a strong and sustainable national economy.
