Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Baghdad’s Arab SummitShowcased Iraq’s Positive Image, Calls to Prepare for Upcoming Milestones
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, stated during the regular meeting of Al-Hikma’s Advisory Council that hosting the Arab Summit in Baghdad was a significant achievement and a positive message reflecting Iraq’s new reality of security stability and progress in services and urban development. H.E. noted that Iraq’s presidency of the summit for an entire year presents an opportunity to strengthen its presence and active role in the Arab world amid major regional challenges.
H.E. emphasized the importance of addressing challenges with a statesmanlike approach, always aligning with Iraq’s supreme national interests. H.E. also highlighted the ongoing dialogue between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, expressing hope that positive outcomes would directly contribute to the stability of the region, particularly Iraq.
On the upcoming elections, H.E. described them as pivotal, comparable in significance to the 2005 elections, with the potential to consolidate the political system and ensure lasting stability. H.E. called for serious preparations, continued biometric updates, and broad, informed participation from all segments of society.
H.E. reaffirmed Al-Hikma National Movement’s commitment to moderation and centrism, stressing that this approach has made the movement widely respected and capable of contributing to resolving both internal and external challenges. H.E. urged collective national efforts to navigate the coming stage with a strong sense of responsibility.
