Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Former MP Saeb Khidr, Stresses Supporting Yazidi Community
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received former Member of Parliament Saeb Khidr for a discussion on the latest political developments and the current situation facing the Yazidi community in Iraq.
His Eminence stressed the urgent need to expedite the return of displaced Yazidis to their areas of origin and to begin reconstruction efforts in the towns and cities affected by conflict. H.E. emphasized that restoring stability for this vital segment of Iraqi society is a national priority.
H.E. also highlighted the importance of ensuring fair political representation for all communities, calling for quota systems to genuinely reflect the aspirations and identity of Iraq’s diverse components within state institutions.
Reiterating the call to rebuild Yazidi areas, H.E. noted that embracing Iraq’s diversity should be seen as a source of strength—one that transforms its communities into bridges of dialogue between Iraq and the wider regional and international environment.
