    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Head of Turkmen Front, Calls to Unify Turkmen Voice, Embrace Iraq’s Diversity

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with Mr. Mohammed Semaan, the newly appointed Head of the Turkmen Front and its Political Bureau. His Eminence congratulated Mr. Semaan on assuming his new role and wished him success in serving the Turkmen community and the broader Iraqi society.
    The discussion focused on the evolving political landscape, particularly the situation of the Turkmen population. H.E. reaffirmed the importance of the Turkmen as Iraq’s third-largest ethnic group and stressed the need for unity among Turkmen ranks to ensure they are represented in a manner that reflects their national standing and contributions. H.E. also emphasized the importance of safeguarding the cohesion of the Turkmen vote in upcoming elections.
    In reference to Kirkuk, H.E. described the province as “the capital of Iraqi diversity,” with its rich mosaic of ethnic, religious, and sectarian identities. H.E. stressed that preserving and leveraging this diversity can serve as a gateway for Iraq to deepen its engagement with the region and the international community.
    H.E. also reiterated the need to reinforce Iraq’s current state of political and security stability, urging efforts to transform it into a lasting stability that benefits all Iraqis.
