Sayyid Al-Hakeem from MP Haybat Al-Halbousi’s Guesthouse: Lasting Stability Begins with Wise Electoral Choices

Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, visited the guesthouse of Member of Parliament Mr. Haybat Al-Halbousi in Karma District, Anbar Province, where His Eminence met with a group of tribal elders and dignitaries from Karma and Fallujah. H.E. expressed delight at the ongoing reconstruction, development, and security stability witnessed in Anbar, which mirrors progress seen across other Iraqi provinces.
In his address, Sayyid Al-Hakeem emphasized that political stability forms the foundation for security stability, which in turn drives economic growth and public satisfaction. H.E. warned that terrorism has historically exploited political rifts to sow chaos, but noted that Iraq has moved beyond that phase. The fact that political leaders now meet and engage without controversy, H.E. explained, is a clear sign of a maturing political landscape.
H.E. underscored the importance of establishing clear principles for managing differences, grounded in the constitution and the rule of law. H.E. stressed that Iraq has emerged from a difficult chapter in its history, and this progress must be reinforced by transforming current stability into a permanent reality. This, H.E. said, can only be achieved by aligning public interests with the strength of the state and its institutions—ensuring that when people’s interests are tied to the state, they become its staunchest defenders, preventing any relapse into instability.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem highlighted the significance of preserving the achievements of recent years and building upon them to realize the strong, capable state all Iraqis aspire to. H.E. called on citizens to make the upcoming elections a cornerstone of this stability through careful and informed voting, choosing the most qualified and trustworthy candidates over mere slogans and narrow interests.
In closing, Sayyid Al-Hakeem reiterated the need for broad and conscious participation in the upcoming elections, stressing that such engagement is key to consolidating stability and shaping the next chapter of Iraq’s future.
