Sayyid Al-Hakeem from Anbar: We Honor Its People’s Sacrifices and Call for National Unity and Rejection of Sectarianism

Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, visited the guesthouse of the Albu Jleib tribe, hosted by Sheikh Ahmad Aboud Al-‘Ayada, where H.E. met with a gathering of sheiks and dignitaries from Anbar Province. In the address, H.E. recalled the deep historical ties between the late Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Mohsin Al-Hakeem (may Allah sanctify his soul) and the Iraqi tribes.
H.E. praised the tremendous sacrifices made by the people of Anbar—alongside their brothers from other provinces—in the fight against terrorism in all its forms. H.E. stated that this visit comes as a gesture of appreciation for those sacrifices and as part of direct engagement to understand the current state of the province.
H.E. expressed satisfaction with the level of security, stability, and visible development in Anbar, noting that the province is making steady progress on the security, political, and service levels, in line with the broader national trend across Iraq.
H.E. commended the people of Anbar for their commitment to supporting Iraq’s democratic experience, calling for strong participation in the upcoming elections and for choosing the most capable representatives who can best serve the province’s interests.
Addressing regional developments, H.E. referred to the ongoing transformations in Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen, emphasizing Iraq’s consistent role—politically, in the media, and in humanitarian efforts—without becoming entangled in confrontational agendas, affirming this as a steady principle of its foreign policy.
H.E. underscored the importance of preserving stability and protecting Iraq’s rich diversity, one of the defining traits of its society. H.E. called for greater national unity and internal cohesion, affirming that this visit—like those before it—aims to strengthen national solidarity and stay closely informed about the conditions of the provinces' citizens.
In conclusion, H.E. urged the rejection of sectarian rhetoric and accountability for those who promote it through the ballot box, reaffirming that Iraq must not regress to past divisions, and that the nation’s strength lies in its unity and unwavering commitment to its inclusive national principles.
