Sayyid Al-Hakeem Emphasizes Elections, Local Government Engagement, Commends Anbar Reconstruction Efforts
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, held a press conference following his meeting with Anbar’s local government, expressing his pleasure in visiting the province as part of his ongoing tours across Iraqi governorates. His Eminence affirmed that the visit is rooted in a commitment to social engagement with citizens from all regions and communities of the country.
H.E. reflected on Anbar’s painful experience during the fight against terrorism and the devastation caused by the Daesh occupation, paying tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs’ families from across Iraq who contributed to Anbar’s liberation. H.E. praised the local government’s efforts in reconstruction and improving public services, noting that Anbar has emerged as a leading example of recovery and development.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem underscored the importance of sustained engagement with the people of Anbar and its respected tribes, stressing the need for coordinated action between local and federal authorities to address service and development challenges. H.E. reaffirmed his support for the province’s choices in its pursuit of progress and rebuilding.
Regarding the upcoming elections, Sayyid Al-Hakeem emphasized their significance as a pivotal moment in Iraq’s history, taking place amidst unprecedented internal and regional stability. H.E. called on all Iraqis to participate actively, update their voter cards, and vote for the most competent candidates, reaffirming that the ballot box remains the sole path to genuine change and reform.
H.E. clarified that this visit was socially motivated and not politically calculated, expressing hope for the continued advancement of construction and development projects in Anbar and across all Iraqi provinces.
H.E. also touched on regional affairs, emphasizing the importance of Syria’s stability and swift transition through its current phase, and noted the critical role of U.S.-Iranian dialogue in bolstering Iraq’s and the region’s stability.
