    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Newly Appointed British Ambassador, Stresses Bilateral Cooperation Strengthening, To Seize Iraq’s Promising Opportunities

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received this morning His Excellency Mr. Irfan Siddiq, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Iraq. Sayyid Al-Hakeem welcomed the Ambassador’s assumption of his diplomatic duties and wished him success in advancing the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
    During the meeting, His Eminence emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation between Iraq and the United Kingdom and promoting joint efforts that serve mutual interests and support regional stability.
    Sayyid Al-Hakeem noted the rapid changes taking place across the region, stating that Iraq is earnestly working to consolidate stability and enable the peoples of the region to benefit from their resources and capabilities, away from conflict and unrest.
    H.E. also affirmed that Iraq is currently undergoing a phase of recovery on the political, social, and security levels. H.E. called for prioritizing economic reform and diversifying sources of income, particularly given the encouraging investment climate and the presence of promising opportunities that can lead to strategic partnerships with various nations—including the United Kingdom.
