Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives European Institute of Peace Delegation, Affirms Iraq’s Recovery, Constructive Regional Role

Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received a delegation from the European Institute of Peace led by Mr. Michael Keating. The meeting focused on the latest political developments in Iraq and the region, and on ways to strengthen regional and international stability.
His Eminence expressed appreciation for the Institute’s commitment to promoting a culture of peace in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of creating platforms for dialogue between conflicting parties as a key entry point to achieving lasting stability.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem noted that Iraq is undergoing a period of recovery on political, social, security, and economic fronts. H.E. highlighted the country’s growing openness on both regional and international levels and its constructive role in bridging regional perspectives.
H.E. further stated that Iraq’s hosting of the Arab Summit is clear evidence of its return to a natural and active position in the region. H.E. emphasized that the stability of the Middle East is essential for the stability of Europe and the wider world.
H.E. pointed out that the current state of stability is fostering strong optimism for the future, noting the surge in services and urban development across various provinces—clearly evident during his recent field visits.
On electoral matters, Sayyid Al-Hakeem reaffirmed the importance of holding elections on schedule and called for competition based on programs rather than narrow interests. H.E. affirmed that Al-Hikma National Movement prioritizes the country’s interests above all and is committed to unifying the national front.
