Sayyid Al-Hakeem: “Maysan” Sacrifice, Giving Symbol, Genuine National Belonging Model
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, affirmed during a meeting with a group of sheiks and dignitaries from Maysan Governorate that the province stands as a true symbol of generosity and sacrifice throughout the different stages of Iraq’s modern history—whether in confronting dictatorship, terrorism, or contributing to the building of the new political system.
His Eminence pointed to the deep bond between the people of Maysan and the two martyrs, the Martyr of the Niche and Aziz of Iraq (may their souls be sanctified), stressing that this connection reflects the authenticity of their loyalty and the sincere love that ties the province to its national and religious heritage.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem also referenced the blessed Sha’baniyah Uprising and the significant role played by the people of Maysan despite the severe sacrifices and the media blackout that surrounded it. H.E. praised the spirit of optimism shown by the Martyr of the Niche (may his soul be sanctified) even in the harshest of conditions, explaining that this optimism stemmed from a firm belief in Iraq’s leading role in the reformist mission of Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance).
H.E. further commended the prominent role of Aziz of Iraq (may his soul be sanctified) in maintaining the unity of the country’s largest social component, noting that remembering such stances serves as motivation to strengthen national unity.
On the political front, Sayyid Al-Hakeem highlighted the current state of stability Iraq is witnessing across political, security, social, and economic fields. H.E. called for preserving and reinforcing this stability by adopting a path of moderation and centrism, which H.E. described as the optimal approach to unifying discourse, overcoming challenges, and achieving sustainable development.
