    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Jordanian Parliament Speaker, Praises Bilateral Relations, Regional Integration

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received Mr. Ahmed Al-Safadi, Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, along with his accompanying delegation.
    At the start of the meeting, His Eminence highlighted the deep-rooted ties between Iraq and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, emphasizing the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation through mutual visits and the activation of popular diplomacy across media, arts, and literature, given its positive impact on reinforcing bonds between the two brotherly nations.
    H.E. also underscored the importance of economic integration and business exchanges, stressing the need for coordinated positions in confronting terrorism and regional challenges, particularly the Palestinian cause. H.E. praised the supportive roles played by both Iraq and Jordan in humanitarian and political arenas, and reaffirmed unwavering support for the full rights of the Palestinian people.
    H.E. further reiterated Iraq’s commitment to supporting Syria’s stability, confronting terrorism, and empowering its various components. H.E. called for greater cooperation in agriculture, medical industries, and renewable energy, pointing to Jordan’s successful agricultural experience despite limited water resources. H.E. also stressed the importance of sustaining the trilateral partnership among Iraq, Jordan, and Egypt, describing it as a model of regional integration that targets no party.
    H.E. stressed the importance of maintaining responsible media discourse and avoiding statements that could harm relations between the two countries, calling for efforts to counter voices seeking to undermine these ties. H.E. also emphasized the need to facilitate the movement of citizens between Iraq and Jordan.
    Concluding his remarks, H.E. pointed to Iraq’s ongoing comprehensive renaissance and its transformation into a major hub of activity across various sectors, describing it as a genuine opportunity for strengthening economic and investment relations. H.E. praised the development of air links between Iraq and Jordan and the mutual commitment to openness and deepening joint cooperation.
