Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq’s (peace be upon him) Martyrdom Anniversary: Sayyid Al-Hakeem Reflects on the Imam’s Legacy to Build Righteous Community

Marking the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ja'far ibn Mohammed Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, recalled the complex and challenging environment in which the Imam lived — an era marked by political and intellectual turmoil and an expansive openness to various cultures and civilizations.
H.E. emphasized that Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) assumed profound responsibilities during this period, focusing on reinforcing authentic Islamic thought, promoting religious sciences, fostering engagement with all Muslims, and building strong bridges of communication, all while dedicating significant efforts to nurturing a righteous community among the followers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
In this context, H.E. referenced a timeless saying of the Imam (peace be upon him) to one of his companions:
"O Ibn Jundub, convey to our followers: Let not different ideologies lead you astray. By Allah, you will not attain our guardianship except through piety, striving in this world, and supporting your brothers for Allah’s sake."
This profound statement, H.E. noted, outlines three core attributes for the righteous community:
Piety and Principled Conduct: Upholding religious and moral values steadfastly.
Striving in Worldly Affairs: Possessing a clear mission and diligently working in service of society.
Solidarity Among Believers: Serving people and the nation with a spirit of compassion and selflessness.
On this solemn occasion, H.E. extended his heartfelt condolences to the Islamic nation over this immense loss and reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the path of Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) in building the individual and the society.
Peace be upon Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) on the day he was born, the day he was martyred, and the day he will be raised alive. May Allah magnify our reward and yours.
