    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Arab Parliament Speaker, Stresses Unified Arab Positions Importance, Institutional Role to Facing Challenges

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, in the presence of Deputy Speaker Mr. Ahmed Al-Jubouri.
    At the outset of the meeting, His Eminence expressed pleasure at the successive visits of Arab figures to Iraq, emphasizing that such visits reflect the country's growing stability and its restored influential role within the Arab political landscape.
    H.E. noted that Iraq is currently witnessing unprecedented political, social, and security stability, which enables it to actively contribute to regional and Arab issues, foremost among them the Palestinian cause. H.E. called on Arab institutions to fulfill their responsibilities in ending the war in Gaza and alleviating the suffering of displaced Palestinians.
    The meeting also addressed preparations for the upcoming Arab Summit. H.E. stressed that the summit must reflect the pressing challenges facing the Arab world and produce unified positions that strengthen Arab solidarity. H.E. emphasized the importance of coordinating stances among Arab parliaments and exchanging legislative expertise to bolster joint parliamentary action.
    On the regional front, H.E. highlighted the significance of ongoing dialogues among regional actors and called for support of these negotiation tracks due to their direct positive impact on regional security and stability. H.E. affirmed that regional stability benefits all parties without exception.
