Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Speaker Nabih Berri’s Envoy, Lebanese Ambassador to Baghdad, Affirms Iraq's Enduring Support for Lebanon, Its People
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received Dr. Qabalan Qabalan, envoy of the Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, accompanied by the Lebanese Ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Ali Adeeb Al-Habbhab.
The meeting included discussions on the latest political developments in the region, as well as Iraqi-Lebanese relations and ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of both nations.
His Eminence affirmed that Iraq’s stance toward Lebanon stems from a deep fraternal and moral responsibility. H.E. emphasized that Iraq has consistently stood by Lebanon during various crises, offering political, humanitarian, and media support—unconditionally.
H.E. further noted that Iraq’s firm position in support of Arab and Islamic causes—foremost among them the Palestinian and Lebanese issues—reflects a belief in the necessity of fostering regional stability and harmony. H.E. reaffirmed Iraq’s readiness to contribute to Lebanon’s reconstruction efforts based on the capabilities it possesses, underlining the importance of ensuring that the Lebanese people feel this support as a constant and reliable source of strength through all challenges.
