    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets International Crisis Group President, Highlights Iraq’s Stability and the Importance of Regional Dialogue

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received Ms. Comfort Ero, President of the International Crisis Group, for a discussion on the evolving political landscape in Iraq and the region, along with an exchange of views on the impact of global developments on both domestic and regional affairs.
    His Eminence affirmed that Iraq is experiencing an unprecedented level of stability across political, social, security, and economic dimensions, pointing to a sweeping wave of development that has turned the country into a dynamic hub of ongoing reconstruction and progress in numerous provinces.
    H.E. emphasized that the upcoming elections represent a pivotal milestone in Iraq’s journey toward long-term stability. H.E. encouraged broad and informed public participation, framing it as a vital national responsibility.
    H.E. also underscored the central role of moderation and centrism in fostering an environment conducive to sustained political and social stability.
    Addressing Iraq’s foreign policy, H.E. noted that the country approaches regional and international changes through a lens of national interest, sovereignty, and good neighborly relations. H.E. reiterated support for Syria’s stability and stressed the need to ensure fair representation for all of its societal components as a foundation for unity and balance.
    H.E. concluded by reaffirming the importance of dialogue as the most effective path to resolving regional disputes. H.E. welcomed the recent rounds of regional dialogue and encouraged further such efforts, viewing them as essential to securing peace and lasting stability for the peoples of the region.
