    Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Diyala Governor Discuss Public Services, Economic Development Strategies

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received Diyala Governor Adnan Mohammed Al-Shammari to discuss the state of public services in the province and explore ways to enhance them in line with the aspirations of its citizens.
    His Eminence highlighted the importance of leveraging Diyala’s unique strengths in agriculture, industry, and tourism, in addition to its strategic role in energy production. H.E. called for maximizing these resources to accelerate the province’s development.
    H.E. also stressed the need to attract investment to Diyala and diversify its sources of income to boost the local economy and create job opportunities. H.E. further underscored the value of strengthening partnerships with the University of Diyala to benefit from its academic and research expertise.
    Reaffirming a consistent stance, H.E. emphasized that local governments are, first and foremost, service-oriented institutions. H.E. called for preserving this vital role by keeping them away from political conflict, describing such an approach as a practical embodiment of the administrative decentralization principle enshrined in the Iraqi Constitution.
