Sayyid Al-Hakeem Stresses Regional Dialogue Importance, Upcoming Elections to Sustain Iraq’s Stability
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, chaired the regular meeting of the Advisory Council of Al-Hikma National Movement, during which several key issues on the agenda were discussed in an atmosphere of constructive dialogue and exchange of perspectives.
His Eminence underscored the need to adopt a balanced approach in dealing with regional developments, advocating the principle of “neither understatement nor exaggeration.” H.E. emphasized the importance of Iranian-American dialogue, describing it as a vital factor in regional stability, and expressed optimism about the possibility of reaching an agreement that serves the interests of the region’s peoples.
H.E. also welcomed the setting of a date for the upcoming elections, describing it as a pivotal milestone in Iraq’s journey toward lasting stability. H.E. praised the effectiveness of the current electoral law in safeguarding political representation, whether in local elections or those in the Kurdistan Region.
In a related context, H.E. spoke of recent visits to several Iraqi provinces, including the Kurdistan Region, noting that these visits were primarily social in nature and aimed at direct engagement with citizens from various communities, as well as assessing the realities and needs of the provinces.
H.E. reaffirmed a firm commitment to the principles of moderation and centrism, considering this approach essential to protecting the country and advancing the interests of the Iraqi people.
