Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Transportation Minister, Praises Ministry's Efforts in Serving Citizens, Developing Infrastructure
This morning, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with His Excellency Minister of Transport, Mr. Razzaq Muhaibis. During the meeting, His Eminence was briefed on the Ministry's efforts in delivering services to citizens, developing vital ports, and enhancing the Ministry’s performance to increase revenues and contribute to the national budget.
H.E. emphasized the importance of incorporating automation and modern technology in the transport sector, noting that the Ministry oversees strategic files that directly impact citizens’ daily lives. Therefore, it is crucial to balance these files to ensure their positive effects on citizens' daily realities.
Furthermore, H.E. stressed the need to elevate national carriers and improve service quality, including updating fleets and continuing staff training. H.E. highlighted the central role of the Faw Port project and the Development Road in driving a transformative shift in Iraq's economy and services.
H.E. also called for attention to the private transport sector by improving parking facilities and opening new routes that meet citizens' needs. H.E. further emphasized the support of railway projects and the strengthening of its role as a strategic mode of transport.
At the end of the meeting, H.E. underscored the importance of combating corruption in all its forms and rejected any attempts to obstruct national projects for narrow interests. H.E. affirmed that the success of the Ministry of Transport in fulfilling its tasks is a significant step toward serving citizens and promoting comprehensive development in Iraq.
