Sayyid Al-Hakeem from Dujail District: Martyrs’ Blood Forged Honor, and Iraq Today Is in a Phase of Stability and Reconstruction

As part of his tour in Salah Al-Din Province, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, visited the guesthouse of Sheikh Abdul Amir Al-Salami in Dujail District, where His Eminence met with a group of religious students and servants of the Husseini processions.
In his address, H.E. described Dujail as the "City of Martyrs," noting that it has become a recognized symbol both regionally and internationally due to the sacrifices of its people and their defiance in the face of dictatorship—calling it a divine triumph of the martyrs’ blood. H.E. added that the executions and destruction of orchards that the district endured were among the early cracks that helped bring down the former regime.
H.E. urged attendees to take lessons from the past without being consumed by it and to focus on the present and future as the true arenas of influence and change. H.E. pointed out that while residents may not always sense it, Dujail is experiencing real and ongoing progress on the ground.
H.E. affirmed that Iraq today is witnessing an unprecedented period of stability, accompanied by a sweeping wave of reconstruction and development. Despite the country’s long history of security and terrorist challenges, the tangible achievements—particularly in services, education, and healthcare—are backed by solid figures. H.E. explained that speaking of these blessings is a Qur’anic principle and a vital way to instill hope and optimism.
Reiterating the purpose behind his provincial visits, H.E. emphasized that they are a means of direct social engagement with citizens—an inherited tradition passed down through generations—to better understand people’s concerns and aspirations firsthand.
H.E. stressed that Iraqi provinces are now firmly on the path of reconstruction, and Iraq is advancing along an upward trajectory that no challenge can derail. True opportunities, H.E. noted, often emerge from the heart of crises. H.E. called for gratitude, a positive outlook, and serious preparation for the upcoming elections to ensure effective representation for the districts of Dujail, Balad, and other areas across Salah Al-Din Province.
