Sayyid Al-Hakeem from Balad District: Honoring a Legacy of Sacrifice and Reaffirming Support for the City’s Representation
As part of the second day of his tour in Salah Al-Din Province, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, visited the Harbah tribe’s guesthouse in the Balad District, hosted by Mr. Mohammed Farhan. His Eminence met with a group of tribal leaders and prominent figures, reaffirming the deep-rooted and longstanding ties that connect him to the people of this proud and resilient city.
During the gathering, H.E. recalled the profound relationship between the religious authority of Imam Al-Hakeem (may his soul be sanctified), Shaheed Al-Mihrab (Sayyid Mohammed Baqir Al-Hakeem), and Aziz Al-Iraq (Sayyid Abdul Aziz Al-Hakeem), and the people of Balad. H.E. also highlighted the city's connection with the late Grand Religious Authority and jurist of Ahl Al-Bayt, Sayyid Mohammed Saeed Al-Hakeem (may his soul be sanctified). In addition, H.E. reflected on the difficult trials the city has endured and the support it has received throughout those hardships.
H.E. praised the bravery of Balad’s people and their firm stand in defending Iraq against terrorism, noting that nearly every household in the city has made sacrifices. This, H.E. said, is a powerful testament to the city's courage and unwavering national spirit.
Reaffirming his support for Balad, H.E. stressed the importance of empowering its citizens and advancing reconstruction efforts in both Balad and Al-Dujail. H.E. wished continued peace and stability for the two cities and commended the active role of Balad’s leaders in national politics and decision-making spaces.
In conclusion, H.E. called on the people of Balad to prepare for the upcoming elections, emphasizing the need for genuine representation in the Iraqi Parliament—figures who reflect the city’s aspirations and serve its interests in a manner worthy of its history and the sacrifices of its people.
