Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Al-Hikma National Movement Relies on Youth, Upholds Moderation to Face Challenges

In a meeting with several leaders from the Youth Office of Al-Hikma National Movement, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, emphasized that the Youth Office represents a qualitative addition to the Movement's institutions. His Eminence noted that the Movement is essentially a "youth-driven movement," grounded in a clear philosophy of nurturing and empowering young people across various fields.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem explained that the Al-Hikma National Movement embodies vital social values and missions, paying special attention to all segments of society in their diversity. The Movement's operations are based on principles of justice and equality. H.E. further stressed the need to confront cultural challenges and defend authentic Islamic values, while preserving national customs, traditions, and core principles.
Speaking about the Movement’s approach, H.E. affirmed its commitment to moderation and centrism, stating, "Moderation is the essential gateway to safeguarding the country and serving the public interest." H.E. highlighted that this path is a source of strength, reflecting the Movement's deep belief in its importance.
Regarding regional affairs, Sayyid Al-Hakeem underscored the importance of approaching regional challenges "without exaggeration or understatement." H.E. emphasized that Syria’s stability is key to the region’s overall stability, particularly given the shared borders, sacred shrines, and tribal and social ties linking the two nations.
On Iraq’s economic challenges, especially those stemming from fluctuations in oil prices, H.E. called for moving away from a single-resource economy and transitioning toward a diversified one based on agriculture, industry, tourism, investment, and modern technology. H.E. affirmed Iraq’s potential to initiate transformative progress in these areas.
Concerning the upcoming elections, Sayyid Al-Hakeem confirmed they will be held as scheduled, describing them as a decisive juncture between stability and instability in the country. H.E. ruled out amendments to the current electoral law, noting that it has been tested twice and proven effective and fair to all.
In conclusion, Sayyid Al-Hakeem stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between youth and all sectors of society to overcome challenges and achieve stability and development in Iraq.
