    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets First Deputy Speaker

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, in a cordial meeting held on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. The two sides exchanged congratulations on this blessed occasion and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and understanding among various political powers.
    At the outset, H.E. called for utilizing the spirit of Eid to bridge differences and bring viewpoints closer regarding contentious issues, stressing the importance of joint efforts in serving Iraq and its people. H.E. also underscored the need to make the most of the remaining period of the current parliamentary term to pass the pending legislation, while reaffirming the vital oversight role of Parliament in ensuring compliance with laws and holding the government accountable for its performance.
    H.E. emphasized the importance of preserving the stability achieved across Iraq’s political, social, economic, and security fronts, affirming that this stability provides a solid foundation for sustainable nation-building. H.E. further noted that restoring citizens’ trust in the executive authority hinges on the successful implementation of developmental and service projects that meet the people’s needs.
    H.E. also stressed the importance of addressing the current challenges facing the country with greater national unity, praising the readiness of the security and military forces in safeguarding Iraq’s security and stability. At the same time, H.E. reiterated condemnation of the israeli entity's renewed military aggression against Gaza, calling for the lifting of the siege on the Strip and the provision of urgent humanitarian aid to the displaced.
    The meeting focused on enhancing coordination between the legislative and executive branches to ensure Iraq’s stability and advancement in all areas.
