Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets French Center for Political and Foreign Affairs’ president to Discuss Iraq, Regional Political Developments
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with Mr. Fabien Baussart, Head of the French Center for Political and Foreign Affairs, where they discussed the latest political developments in Iraq and the broader region.
During the meeting, Sayyid Al-Hakeem emphasized the critical importance of regional stability as a fundamental condition for global peace, stressing the need for dialogue and role integration among regional countries to achieve the desired stability. H.E. added that Iraq plays a central role in these efforts.
H.E. also called for dialogue in Syria, stressing the importance of respecting the country’s demographic realities and specificities. H.E. pointed out that political and social understandings are the best path forward to overcome the current crisis.
Regarding Iraq's internal situation, H.E. explained that Iraq has made significant efforts in reconstruction and services, achieving political, security, and social stability, thus laying the groundwork for the current and upcoming phase focused on enhancing public services and infrastructure.
H.E. affirmed that the stability Iraq has achieved opens up opportunities for sustainable development, emphasizing that reconstruction and the enhancement of services are the priorities during this critical phase.
Mr. Fabien Baussart expressed great interest in Iraq’s efforts across various fields, underscoring the importance of mutual cooperation between Iraq and France in supporting regional and international stability.
