    Sayyid Al-Hakeem in a Ramadan Evening with Journalists and Media Professionals: Emphasizing Iraq’s Stability and Calling for Unified National Positions

    In a Ramadan evening gathering, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with a group of journalists and media professionals, with the presence of Mr. Moayad Al-Lami, Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and President of the Arab Journalists Union. His Eminence welcomed the attendees, congratulating them on the blessed month of Ramadan and appreciating their valuable contributions during the meeting.
    In his speech, H.E. affirmed that Iraq is experiencing unprecedented stability across political, security, social, and economic dimensions, highlighting that these five factors play a critical role in organizing and defining the country’s internal affairs.
    H.E. pointed out that recent events in Syria and the evolving regional and international circumstances pose challenges that must be approached with seriousness and caution, stressing the importance of national unity and the need to resolve internal crises to face these challenges in a unified manner.
    Regarding the Syrian crisis, H.E. described the Syrian people as neighbors, friends, and brothers, acknowledging Iraq's security concerns arising from the situation in Syria. H.E. expressed shock at the events on the Syrian coast and the targeting of civilians in such tragic circumstances. H.E. commended the international and humanitarian condemnation of these massacres, emphasizing the importance of addressing the Syrian events with a state-driven approach, using the proper tools.
    Sayyid Al-Hakeem reiterated that Iraq’s interests lie in building strategic partnerships with regional and global countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran. H.E. explained that Iraq is a country of sectarian and ethnic diversity, requiring a balanced and inclusive national approach that considers the interests of all parties to overcome challenges.
    H.E. also affirmed that Iraq has provided political, media, and humanitarian support to the people affected by the regional crisis, without becoming directly involved in the conflict. H.E. praised the international and humanitarian positions condemning the massacres on the Syrian coast, stressing the importance of dealing with the Syrian situation through the state's perspective and using the appropriate tools.
    H.E. called for the development of a unified Iraqi stance that aligns with shared Arab and Islamic positions, noting the potential to achieve this through the upcoming Arab summit in Baghdad, as well as through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
    Speaking about the upcoming elections, H.E. confirmed that the Coordination Framework is moving forward with presenting multiple lists, emphasizing the brotherly and understanding relationship among the Framework’s forces.
    On the Palestinian cause, H.E. reiterated that Iraq's position remains firm in supporting the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.
    Regarding electricity in Iraq, H.E. addressed the ongoing efforts to find sustainable solutions to the country’s electricity problems, especially in the summer, stressing the importance of creating win-win solutions for all parties without targeting anyone.
    H.E. concluded by reaffirming that the blessed fatwa and the blood of martyrs were decisive factors in Iraq's victory over ISIS, expressing pride in the achievements of Iraq’s armed forces and people in the fight against terrorism.
