Sayyid Al-Hakeem at Iftar Banquet with Martyrs’ Families: Sacrifices Restored Iraq to Its People

During an iftar banquet held in honor of martyrs’ families, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, expressed deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by the martyrs and their loved ones. H.E. emphasized that the greatest sacrifices are those made in defense of faith and homeland, noting that these sacrifices were instrumental in reviving Iraq and restoring it to its people, granting them the power to shape their own destiny.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem highlighted that the Al-Hakeem family takes pride in being among the families of martyrs. H.E. also underscored the significance of the holy month of Ramadan as a time of divine hospitality, where the sleep of a fasting person is an act of worship, and every breath is a form of glorification.
Stressing the importance of fulfilling the rights of martyrs’ families, Sayyid Al-Hakeem called for the completion of land distribution to them and urged local governments to resolve this matter along with other outstanding rights and privileges. H.E. asserted that ensuring these entitlements should be a top priority.
H.E. also praised the sacrifices of the women who lost their sons, husbands, fathers, or brothers for the sake of the nation, encouraging martyrs’ families to take pride in their loved ones’ contributions. Additionally, H.E. expressed sorrow over the suffering of Alawites and other communities in Syria.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem further recalled the sacrifices of the Iraqi people during the 1991 Sha’baniyah Uprising, emphasizing its pivotal role in breaking the barrier of fear and shaking the foundations of the former regime, ultimately paving the way for its downfall.
