Sayyid Al-Hakeem Continues Discussion on Imam Zain Al-Abidin’s Epistle on Rights, Emphasizes Social Cohesion

Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, continued his discussion on the Epistle on Rights by our master and leader, Imam Zain Al-Abidin Ali bin Al-Hussein (peace be upon him), during his Ramadan lecture.
His Eminence highlighted that one of the key pillars of a strong society is its cohesion, which is achieved when all members feel justice is upheld and their rights are protected. H.E. stressed that, from an Islamic perspective, rights are reciprocal.
H.E. further explained that the concept of rights encompasses a set of principles and guidelines that regulate human interactions. The Islamic vision of rights, H.E. noted, is founded on four pillars: human dignity, sound belief, noble values, and upright conduct. Which is an approach that aligns with human nature.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem examined the tenth right in the Epistle on Rights—the right of prayer—citing Imam Al-Sajjad’s (peace be upon him) words: "You must know that it is an audience with Allah Almighty, and that you stand before Him..." From this, H.E. extracted five key insights: the worshipper’s awareness of being in Allah’s presence, the recognition of closeness to Him in prayer, translating this understanding into humility and reverence, reflecting on the honor of addressing Allah, and making the most of prayer times for supplication and devotion.
H.E. concluded by underscoring the significance of Imam Zain Al-Abidin’s (peace be upon him) Epistle on Rights as a comprehensive framework for Islamic rights, noting that the discussion will continue in future lectures.
Through this holistic perspective, the National State Powers Alliance seeks to reinforce values of justice and solidarity in society while striving to build a strong, prosperous state that upholds the rights of all its citizens.
