Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets UK Ambassador, Highlights Iraq’s Stability, Development Opportunities
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received His Excellency Stephen Charles Hitchen, the outgoing British Ambassador to Iraq, on the occasion of the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in Baghdad.
His Eminence extended his best wishes to the ambassador in his future endeavors and expressed hope for continued success for his successor in leading the UK mission in Iraq. The two sides exchanged views on the state of bilateral relations and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in a manner that serves the shared interests of both nations.
H.E. underscored the central importance of public services and reconstruction efforts as key pillars for achieving public satisfaction. He emphasized that Iraq is moving forward with confidence and clarity across multiple sectors, benefiting from accumulated experience and lessons learned. H.E. also noted the country’s current state of political, security, and social stability, achieved after overcoming a host of past challenges.
Highlighting Iraq’s growing potential, H.E. pointed to the wide range of promising opportunities in reconstruction and infrastructure development. He stressed that Iraq remains committed to attracting investments aimed at achieving sustainable development, while maintaining openness to international partnerships based on its national interests and the preservation of its sovereignty.
