Sayyid Al-Hakeem Stresses Coordination to Enhance Public Services in Baghdad

Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, met with Baghdad Provincial Council Chairman Ammar Al-Qaisi to discuss the state of public services in the capital.
H.E. emphasized the need for greater coordination and synergy between the Provincial Council, the Governor, and Baghdad Municipality to ensure improved service delivery for citizens. H.E. highlighted that enhancing public services requires collective efforts and close collaboration among all relevant stakeholders.
Reaffirming his stance, Sayyid Al-Hakeem called for granting local governments their full constitutional and legal authorities, stressing that this is a genuine application of the administrative decentralization principle enshrined in the Iraqi Constitution. H.E. noted that empowering local governments to exercise their full jurisdiction would contribute to better service provision and foster development across the provinces.
This meeting aligns with ongoing efforts to improve service conditions and living standards in Baghdad while strengthening intergovernmental cooperation to meet citizens’ aspirations.
