Sayyid Al-Hakeem Highlights Diversity and National Unity in Nineveh Plains, Commends Imam Al-Ridha's Shrine Reconstruction
During a visit to the shrine of Imam Al-Ridha (peace be upon him) in the Nineveh Plains, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, extended his congratulations to the region's residents on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). His Eminence expressed appreciation for the status of Nineveh Plains, recognizing its vital cultural and religious diversity.
In his remarks, H.E. reflected on the suffering endured by Iraqis due to terrorism, extremism, and arrogance, emphasizing that Islam repudiates the claims and actions of terrorists and extremists. H.E. stressed that Islam is a religion of dialogue, love, and mutual respect among all people, advocating for harmony and understanding.
H.E. underscored the importance of rebuilding what terrorism has destroyed—lives, structures, and social bonds. H.E. called for prioritizing the restoration of the sacred shrine of Imam Al-Ridha (peace be upon him) as a symbol of unity and fraternity in the region. Additionally, H.E. urged the preservation of the rich diversity of religions, sects, ethnicities, and tribes, noting that this diversity is a source of Iraq’s strength and enrichment.
Concluding his address, H.E. cautioned against regional developments and transformations, emphasizing reliance on Allah in facing challenges. H.E. called for safeguarding the achievements made thus far and for continued efforts toward advancing and rebuilding Iraq to ensure its long-term stability and prosperity.
