Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Somali Minister of Internal Security
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, welcomed the Somali Minister of Internal Security, H.E. Abdullah Sheikh Ismail, along with his accompanying delegation. The meeting emphasized the importance of combating extremism and fostering peace in the region.
During the discussion, Sayyid Al-Hakeem highlighted Iraq’s extensive experience in confronting terrorism, having faced various terrorist organizations over the past two decades. H.E. noted that Iraq’s difficult circumstances had strengthened its resilience in addressing security challenges.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem underscored the need for Somalia to be safe, stable, and prosperous, expressing hope for a future free from extremism. H.E. stressed the importance of empowering moderate scholars to promote harmony and reinforce the principles of Islam and tolerance while establishing a strong societal foundation capable of countering terrorist agendas. H.E. also affirmed Iraq’s readiness to offer support and assistance in these efforts.
Furthermore, Sayyid Al-Hakeem reiterated Iraq’s unwavering support for ending the war in Gaza, rebuilding Gaza and Lebanon, and preserving Syria’s unity and political independence.
