Sayyid Al-Hakeem to the Italian Ambassador: Iraq’s Stability is Essential for Regional and Global Stability
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received the newly appointed Italian Ambassador to Iraq.Niccolò Fontana, to discuss the development of bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of both nations and their peoples.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem emphasized the importance of promoting stability in the region and urged influential global powers to play their role in achieving this goal. H.E. also reiterated the urgent need to end the war in Gaza and support the reconstruction efforts in both Gaza and Lebanon.
Regarding Iraq’s internal situation, Sayyid Al-Hakeem affirmed that the country is experiencing an unprecedented level of stability. H.E. stressed the necessity of consolidating and transforming this stability into a lasting one, as Iraq’s security and stability are crucial for the stability of the region and the world.
Addressing the developments in Syria, Sayyid Al-Hakeem highlighted the importance of enabling the Syrian people to govern themselves, draft their own constitution, and preserve Syria’s territorial unity and sovereignty.
