Sayyid Al-Hakeem Commends Sulaymaniyah Grand Mosque, Reflects on Historical Arab-Kurdish Brotherhood Moments
During his visit to Sulaymaniyah Grand Mosque, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, praised this esteemed religious and cultural landmark, describing it as a vital spiritual and cultural hub for the city. His Eminence highlighted the mosque’s significant role in Quran memorization and education, urging continued care to ensure it remains a source of spiritual enlightenment for Sulaymaniyah’s residents.

Stressing the importance of bridging past and present, H.E. called for educating younger generations about the achievements of their ancestors and the unity that enabled Iraqis to confront challenges together. H.E. referenced the position of his grandfather, Imam Sayyid Muhsin Al-Hakeem (may his soul rest in peace), in prohibiting Kurdish bloodshed, describing it as a pivotal moment in Arab-Kurdish unity.
H.E. also honored the legacy of the late Mam Jalal (may he rest in peace) and his profound impact on strengthening Arab-Kurdish brotherhood. H.E. urged that these values and historical stances be preserved as a guiding light for future generations.
