Sayyid Al-Hakeem Congratulates Iraqi Army on Its Founding Anniversary, Highlights Importance of Supporting Military Institutions
On the 104th anniversary of the founding of Iraq's valiant army, the nation’s shield and fortress, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, extended his congratulations to the leadership, officers, and ranks of the Iraqi Army, praising their efforts and sacrifices in maintaining Iraq’s security and stability.
In a statement shared on social media, H.E. said:
" On the 104th anniversary of the founding of our steadfast Iraqi Army, the protector and stronghold of our nation, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to our military institution—its leaders, officers, and personnel. We emphasize the importance of supporting the army by diversifying its sources of armament with the latest and most advanced weaponry, enhancing its military capabilities in line with modern warfare theories, developing its intelligence infrastructure, supporting military attachés abroad, sustaining training programs, and improving readiness in the face of the significant challenges confronting our homeland.
This occasion also serves as an opportunity to honor the sacrifices of our army and all branches of the armed forces in liberating Iraq, reclaiming cities, and facilitating the return of displaced persons to their homes. We stress the importance of granting land plots or constructing housing complexes for military personnel in locations befitting their sacrifices, while ensuring cooperation with other ministries to provide necessary services and infrastructure for these communities.
We also call on the legislative authority to ensure justice for members of the military institution by amending laws to improve their retirement benefits, equating them with those of other state employees.
