Sayyid Al-Hakeem Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Relations, Regional Developments with Saudi Ambassador
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, received His Excellency Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Iraq.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the development of bilateral relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia and explored ways to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly nations. Sayyid Al-Hakeem emphasized the importance of leveraging shared interests between Baghdad and Riyadh to achieve greater convergence and integration.
The discussion also touched on recent developments in the region. Sayyid Al-Hakeem underscored the necessity of preventing the repercussions of crises from impacting neighboring countries, stressing the importance of empowering the Syrian people to govern themselves independently, free from external interference, while respecting their unique social composition.
On Iraqi affairs, Sayyid Al-Hakeem highlighted Iraq's robust social resilience, rooted in its political, social, and security stability. He called for continued efforts to bolster security and military readiness to address any potential challenges.
